Mmmh-Ah Went the Little Green Frog – Nature, Music & Joy at FireFly Forest School
At FireFly Forest School, learning doesn’t just happen in a classroom — it blossoms in the forest, in the mud, by the pond, and sometimes even with a few curious frogs hopping nearby. Our latest children’s song, “Mmmh-Ah Went the Little Green Frog”, is a joyful celebration of music, movement, and the magic of nature. 🐸🎶
This playful tune has quickly become a favorite during Circle Time, encouraging children to clap, move, sing, and explore sound in the most natural setting imaginable. The video captures the essence of outdoor learning — laughter, spontaneity, and real-life encounters with nature.

Music That Sparks Curiosity and Connection
Mmmh-Ah Went the Little Green Frog is a simple children’s song — but at FireFly Forest School, it becomes so much more. Sung amidst real frogs, green leaves, and the happy chaos of outdoor play, it teaches children to notice the world around them with curiosity and joy.
The song naturally supports early childhood learning, including:
- 🐸 Imitation and imagination – children love copying frog sounds and motions
- 🌿 Environmental awareness – connecting music to real animals and nature
- 🎶 Rhythm and coordination – clapping and moving with the melody
- 💛 Emotional expression – singing freely, laughing, and playing joyfully
Filming in Nature: Real Frogs, Real Laughter, Real Learning
The video for “Mmmh-Ah Went the Little Green Frog” was filmed right on our playground at FireFly Forest School — where puddles, bamboo, insects, and yes, frogs are part of daily life. The children’s voices were recorded here at school, allowing their natural energy and excitement to shine.
We partnered with P’OA at OA Studio in Bangkok to bring the audio to life, and with Guy Phumin Poomsri to capture the joyful moments on camera. Together, they helped us create a music video full of authenticity — playful splashes, big smiles, and real nature all around.
